Why we built it
Most B2B sites pitch dashboards with screenshots. Prospects squint, can't tell what's real, and bounce. We wanted a prospect to be able to click "see a live sample" on our homepage and immediately interact with a real-feeling product — HR records they can edit, payroll runs they can step through, expense charts that update.
The trick
The whole thing runs against in-memory mock data scoped to the visitor's session. Edits feel real and persist for the session, but nothing leaves the browser. That means we can give the demo away to anyone, with no signup, no abuse risk, and zero infrastructure cost per visitor.
When a prospect says "I want this for my company", we know exactly what they're asking for — and we can quote a custom build that ships in 7 days.
When we deploy this for customers
For paying customers, we replace the mock data layer with a real backend (their warehouse, their CRM, their ops tools), drop the demo's UI shell onto their domain, and add their branding. Same dashboard, real data — usually $5,000 Standard Build attached to a Growth subscription.
